NFPA requires an ISO/IEC accredited company to perform inspections of firefighting aerial equipment and ground ladders. Diversified Inspections/lTL will train you to perform these inspections. A thorough test and inspection is performed at the customer's location, typically at a fire department. The inspection includes a complete visual and operational test of the vehicle, aerial device and associated equipment. Additionally, various non-destructive test methods are used to locate defects.

Inspections and testing include: load test, timing and functional tests, hardness tests, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, hydraulic oil analysis, ultrasonic tests, turntable torque checks, drift tests, and many more.

A computer generated report is issued to the customer on site and a certificate is issued if/when the unit passes the inspection.

DI/ITL does not perform repairs.

The inspector will travel to each department in a company provided vehicle equipped with the tools necessary to provide the testing and inspections. The inspector will work closely with one of our operations managers providing scheduling and support. Employees are provided a company credit card for fuel, lodging and supplies and will receive per diem while traveling. Most trips are scheduled for 11 or 22 days, at which time the inspector will return home for a break.

Experience and knowledge of fire equipment will determine how long the training process takes. During training, the employee will travel with one of our lead inspectors until such time the trainee can become certified to a lead technician.

Medical, dental, vision, Paid time off, 401K. We are an EOE employer
